In 2008 Ultimate Bet joined Absolute Poker in forming the Cereus Network, making it the the world’s 3^rd biggest poker site with over 100,000 active players.  Ultimate Bet is known for being one of the world’s oldest poker sites, superb promotions, tournaments and the fastest cashouts in poker.  Their sponsored pros include Lacey Jones, Phil Hellmuth and Joe Sebuk.

The UB software has a sleek and clean design.  The lobby has dark black/yellow interface matching the UB branding.  You can view table statistics in the lobby and the software has tons of features and customisations.  The mini-table function for example makes multi-tabling easy and you get pot/half-pot raise buttons at the tables which I’m a huge fan of.

UB provides a fantastic range of tournaments and games.  Texas Holdem (including Limit, No-Limit and Pot Limit variants), Omaha, 7 Card Stud, Triple Draw, Pineapple Poker and BlackJack Tournaments can be played at UB.  Table stakes for all games range from $0.01/$0.02 up to nosebleed $150/$300.

The tournaments at UB are my favourite to play. UB has one of the best daily schedules of guaranteed tournaments, which start from $1 – $1,000 in buy-ins.  A lot of the MTTs are focused at the $5 – $60 buy-in, and the good news is that they are much softer and winnable than PokerStars.  UB runs its own freerolls and micro-stakes events such the daily $1k Gtd ($1 buy-in) and $2k Gtd ($15 buy-in), however high rollers will feel comfortable in the Sniper Knockout Bounty events and the Sunday $200k Gtd ($215 buy-in) – knock out a UB Pro and get $215 free!

UB also runs its own satellites, UB Online Championships, $1 million MTT Leaderboards and tons of other unique stuff.

UB’s promotions always seem to go the extra distance to stand out.  Take their Steps tournaments for example, which allow you to enter from $0.10c with a live package at the end worth $12,000!  Promotions such as the monthly Annie Duke Heads Up Challenge (a $1,000 buy-in Heads Up tournament), 7-Deuce Tables (where players sit own and automatically enter a side bet for bluffing a hand with 72) and “Donkaments” makes UB more exciting than other rooms. 

The RAISE rewards programme at UB is hallowed by its players.  In short, it is the best rewards system in online poker and other cash-back, VIP treatment, exclusive tournaments and even up to 5% interest on the cash in your cashier.
