Titan Poker Review

Opened in 2005, Titan Poker is a UK/European poker room that operates on the iPoker network.  It gets around 5,000 cash game players and 25,000 tournament players at peak times, which makes it the 3rd biggest poker site in the world.

The best thing about Titan Poker is the softness of games, especially the ring tables and SNGs.   A high proportion of Titan’s players are impressively bad -  partially because Titan stopped accepting US traffic a year ago.  This has made Titan a gold mine for making money however.  The profits you can earn playing at Titan Poker will be more than any other room.  Playing a LAG (loose-aggressive) strategy will pay off most at Titan Poker.

The software at Titan Poker is nice, but honestly nothing extraordinary.  Updated just a few months ago, Titan’s software had a much needed facelift and this removed a lot of the ugly features from the previous one.  The lobby and table graphics are now pleasant to the eye and functional – with the ability to multi-table 15 games simultaneously.  Unfortunately, Titan Poker will still not be receiving the “best looking” poker site award any time soon, but its graphics do the job just fine.

Titan Poker stands out from the crowd with its massive range of tournaments and daily MTT schedules. It has over $30 million in guaranteed tournaments each month and Titan runs its own high roller ECCOP (European Championship of Online Poker) once a year with loads of $500 highroller events.

I also recommend micro and low stakes players give Titana go.  Here you will find lots of great-value overlay tournaments, most of which are aimed towards low stakes players with a $5 – $50 buy-in.  The fields are smaller and softer than similar events at PokerStars which gives you a better chance of a life-changing pay day.

Not to worry if you’re looking for more expensive events however, as Titan runs lots of these including the Sunday $50k Gtd with a $320 buy-in.

Tournament buy-ins:

Heads-Up: $1 to $1,000
Single-Table: $1 to $200
Multi-Table: $2 to $200

All players will get to participate in exclusive $100 and $50 freerolls each day for 90 days after they sign up.

With respect to games, Titan runs Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud.  The tables for these range from micro-stakes $.01-$.02 up to the high roller $100-$200 tables.

Bonus

Players who sign up to Titan Poker receive a $500 bonus.  This is released in $5 increments for every 600 points you earn.
